Buildings and Grounds
This function has been split into two groups, "Buildings" and "Grounds".
The Buildings group is available to do a variety of maintenance projects usually on the inside.
The Grounds activities focus on the general maintenance of the outside of the church including the lawns, trees, parking and other outside tasks. A big annual event is the cleanup day held to spruce up our yard and garden areas to look their best.

Consecration Weekend
This concept provides for people to give monetarily out of thanks for the many blessings received and has been embraced enthusiastically by the parish. Information in the form of mailings and personal testimony is given to the parish in the weeks leading up to Consecration Weekend. During the services, people are invited to complete an Estimate of Giving Card and place it at the altar. A celebration is held after the last service of the weekend.

Library
St. Timothy's Library collection is intended to provide information of interest to the congregation. Located in the Parish Hall, the collection resides on two bookshelves near the kitchen. The primary focus of the collection includes Children's books and videos, Christian Education, Christian fiction books, and resources for Spiritual, Social, and Liturgical ministries. Library materials are added by donation only, and are reviewed for condition and content.

Offering Counters
The offering counters perform a necessary, but behind-the-scenes function by counting, recording and depositing the offerings and other income that comes into the church each week. Most of their work is done in the office after the 10:15 service on Sunday.

Office Volunteers
There are many opportunities for those wishing to volunteer to help the parish office manager complete tasks essential to the running of St. Tim's. Areas in which volunteers are needed include: answering phones; helping fold bulletins on Friday for Sunday services; and collating, folding, sorting, stapling or labeling the parish newsletter and other mailings. Also, those who can type or are proficient on a computer could help complete a wide variety of tasks. Volunteers are also needed to staff the office and answer the phone when the office manager must be away for vacation, emergencies or illness.
This ministry offers a great deal of flexibility in terms of available times to volunteer and the overall time commitment. Any time that you could offer to the office manager would be sincerely appreciated.

St. Timothean Newsletter
The St. Timothean is published monthly. Material is due to the editors on the 15th of each month and includes announcements of future events and summaries of activities that have taken place. Pictures are welcome and solicited. The editors also attend meetings and write stories about church-related functions. Members are encouraged to submit articles about church activities.
The editors are responsible for lay out and production of the master copy of the newsletter; the office makes approximately 300 copies for distribution to members of the congregation and other interested parties. Currently each edition is designed in Publisher on a Windows-based computer. Each issue contains a current list of Ministries and Ministry leaders and schedules for servers, readers, etc. for that month's services.
Each month a dedicated group meets to collate and label the newsletter so it can be mailed. Call the office, 225-2020, to join this group. It takes about two hours to get the newsletter ready to be mailed, on the last Thursday of the month.
